🎄 Community Nativity Brings the Message of Christmas to Life

Last December, SALU’s church family pulled off a festive first: a Community Nativity that blended the Christmas story with technology. Powered by Lhanbryde Primary School Tech and church-led Code Club, the Nativity came to life on screen and in spirit, shared as a lively MP4 film across village social media channels.

What made this moment so special wasn’t just the tech – it was the turnout. Parents, grandparents, friends, and first-time visitors filled the church, joining children in a celebration bursting with joy. The songs, chosen to reflect the wonder of Jesus’ birth, resonated across generations, creating an atmosphere of unity and delight.

And yes – a real live baby Jesus stole the show!

This joyful gathering was the fruit of deep relationships built through Active Church sessions and school-based clubs. Church members’ warmth and hospitality set the tone, welcoming everyone – especially those who’d never stepped inside the church before – with genuine kindness and open arms.

The result? A celebration that didn’t just tell the Christmas story but invited the whole village to experience it and consider the message of Jesus’ birth. Connections were deepened, and a sense of shared belonging experienced by all.
