When and where does the church meet?
Our Sunday services usually begin at 11.00am.
On the first Sunday of each month, our café church, CONNECT, begins at 10.00am.
You’ll find the church just off the B9103 (back road from the A96 to Lossiemouth).

There are two car parks, both accessed from the B9103 — one to the north of the church and one to the south.
If you can, arriving 5–10 minutes before the service gives you time to park, find your way in and settle in before we begin.
What can I expect when I visit?
You’ll find two people at the door ready to welcome you. They’ll show you where to go and help you find a seat. If you have any questions, just ask — they’ll be happy to help.
Our service lasts around 1 hour and 15 minutes. You don’t need to know anything about church beforehand, and there is no expectation that you will say or pray anything that you don’t believe.
There is a familiar shape to our worship each week, including:
- Hymns and songs
- Bible readings
- Prayers
- An all-age scene setter
- A reflection
Members of the congregation often take part too — perhaps leading the call to worship, reading from the Bible or leading prayers.
The words for songs and anything we say together are shown on the screens, so you can join in if you wish. There is no pressure to join in.
After the all-age scene setter and a song, children and young people are invited through to the hall for age-specific learning.

What’s available for children?
Children are very welcome at SALU — and we don’t expect them to sit quietly or perfectly still! We know that children wriggle, make a noise, ask questions and sometimes need to move around. That’s all part of being an all-age church.
Children stay with their parents at the beginning of the service.
The leaders of our age-specific groups will make themselves known to you during the service, so you know who will be looking after your children.
The groups usually last around 30 minutes and combine fun, games, crafting and learning about God in ways that are relevant to the children.
What should I wear?
There’s no dress code and definitely no requirement for “Sunday best”!
Just come as you are and wear whatever makes you feel comfortable.
Will I be made to feel uncomfortable?
We hope not!
We want you to feel welcome, relaxed and at home. You can simply come along, sit back and see what happens.
Take part in as much or as little as you feel comfortable with. There’s no expectation that you will know the words, understand everything or have all the answers.
Can I leave during the service?
Of course.
If you need to leave at any point — perhaps because of a child, another commitment or simply because you need to — that’s absolutely fine.
Will I be expected to do anything or give money?
No. You are our guest.
We do take an offering during the service, but this is an opportunity for those who are part of the SALU family to contribute to the life and work of the church.
Many people give by direct debit or other methods, so you won’t be expected to put anything in the offering plate.
Just relax and enjoy being with us.
What happens after the service?
After the service, you’re invited to join us for tea and coffee.
There’s no charge, and you’re very welcome to stay and chat. It’s a chance to meet people and get to know us a little better.
If you’d rather head home, that’s absolutely fine too. You can leave through the same doors you came in through.
The person leading the service will be around afterwards to say goodbye and thank you for coming.
Toilets and accessibility
We have two toilets, including one with disabled access and baby-changing facilities.
The church building is accessible to wheelchair users, and there is space in the middle of the church where wheelchairs can be accommodated.
